When to stop?

Lately I've been struggling with falling back into my old habits of picking up fast food or going out for lunch instead of bringing my own. I get frustrated when this happens because I am trying to live on a budget but the healthy foods are not budget friendly and the dollar menus are. For example today I have to run errands for lunch and I didn't have a great start to my morning so I left the house without a lunch. This means I have to get something while I'm out. Not only do I have to spend money, I have to eat something not entirely healthy for me either. So how to I avoid pitfalls like this one you migh ask? Well, on days like this I rummage through my restaurant coupons to see if I have anything good, if not I usually will head to Subway or something that might be a little on the healthier side of life. I have days when Wendy's or Taco Bell is unavoidable just because its convenient or cheaper but if you have to go out try to avoid them as much as possible. Also as for condiments to either be completely taken off or add them to the side, this way you can control how much you eat.

  1. Hi there! I'm visiting from Friendly Follow and I just became your newest Follower. I wanted to say hello and share some comment lo♥e.

I really like your blog. You have some really great tips here. I lost a lot of weight (100 pounds!!) in 1995, after I had my last baby. I did it the good way - by reducing portions and exercising (walking 4-5 times a week). I kept it off for 13 years. Then, I became very sick and was diagnosed with a very rare illness that has left me homebound and bedridden. Unfortunately, I have gained 80 lbs back because of being totally immobile and the meds I've been on. It makes me SO frustrated. I worked so hard to get the weight off and it came back so fast. :*( I wish you all the luck in the world.

I would be honored if you would take a minute to check out my blog and follow me, too, if you like what you see.

I hope your weekend is amazing!

    Blessings,

    Teresa <><

  2. It is definitely hard to choose between fast food and healthy food, I think we all know exactly what you're talking about. And mmm, sometimes Taco Bell just tastes so good...

  3. I know it is hard. It takes a lot of time to make meals...even on the go....We all have this problem in the States. France is different. No fast food and restaurant are WAY too expensive. So no choice. We have to plan. I find myself tired here a lot and driving to get a sandwich instead of making it...Yeah totally understand :)
    Happy Friendly Friday!
Following your blog and would love for you to say hi and follow back!

  4. I struggle with the same thing! Since I use my lunch break to go out to get the deals, I usually end up stopping somewhere to bring a lunch back....I need to stop!!!!
